Ippp -- Illowa Partnership For Philanthropic Planning Planned Giving And Charitable Planning

Did You Know…

It is estimated that more than half of all Americans do not have current estate plans to protect themselves and their families in the event of sickness, accidents, or untimely death.  A Roper poll commissioned by the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants found that two-thirds of Americans over age 65 believe they lack the knowledge necessary to adequately plan for retirement, and nearly one half of all Americans are unfamiliar with basic retirement tools.  And, although many generous Americans make charitable gifts during their lifetimes, only 8 percent leave a bequest to charity or include a charitable organization in their estate.

Imagine how many lives and communities could be positively impacted if the 80 percent of Americans who give during their lifetimes also made a charitable gift through their estate plans!

And there are ways to make these gifts that can offer significant advantages to individuals, by helping them achieve personal, financial and charitable goals.  IPPP is offering a complimentary Leave a Legacy magazine to anyone in the greater Quad City area who is interested in learning more about how to make a difference in the lives that follow.

LEAVE A LEGACY® is a community-based program to help people learn about charitable giving accomplished through a will or from an estate. LEAVE A LEGACY® does NOT solicit gifts for any particular organization. Instead, the program is a cooperative effort of all types of nonprofit groups including social service and arts organizations, churches, hospitals, educational institutions and other philanthropic groups.
