Leave a Legacy Program

LEAVE A LEGACY® is a public-awareness campaign that encourages people from all walks of life and all income levels to think beyond their lifetime when doing good works. LEAVE A LEGACY® volunteers across the country are encouraging members of their communities to include charitable gifts of any size in their wills and estate plans.

LEAVE A LEGACY® is a registered trademark of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (PPP), and it is NOT used to promote any specific charitable organization or business entity.  As a member council of the PPP, the Illowa Partnership for Philanthropic Planning conducts its own local Leave a Legacy Program in accordance with the PPP guidelines.  For more information on the IPPP Leave a Legacy Program, click here.

Seminars, Webinars and Other Events

The IPPP hosts a minimum of four educational seminars per year.  These seminars are live presentations by leading experts in the field of charitable planning, and are usually held at the breakfast or lunch hours with a meal provided.  Continuing education credits are offered when the seminar content meets the guidelines and requirements of the credit-issuing board.  In addition to the live seminars, the IPPP hosts a number of webinars on timely topics.  The webinars are typically held over the lunch hour, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

A primary focus for the IPPP is collaboration among the many professions involved in charitable planning.  Thus, the IPPP works closely with other area professional associations to provide joint programming whenever possible.  Such collaborations allow the associations involved to bring in experts from outside the area, and other special opportunities for continuing professional development that otherwise might not be possible.

Members' Round Tables

The IPPP holds a monthly round table moderated discussion for members.  Each month a different topic is discussed which is of special importance to practitioners in the field of charitable planning.  The informal discussions are held at the Downtown Deli, in Davenport, IA.  Members are encouraged to bring a guest.  IPPP board member Steve Goebel, Planned Giving Officer for Genesis Health Services Foundation is the moderator.
